This site is created by the project manager and web producer Elena Zlobina (Stavropol, Russia)
and Pilot Studio (Yoshkar-Ola, Russia). Technically speaking, it is
a framework, allowing me to upload images to a server and
automatically, on-the-fly, generate pages displayed in visitors' browsers.
It based on PHP scripts and MySQL database and runs under Apache web
server.
The PPA Builder engine idea was proposed by Elena and developed specially
for this site by the Pilot Studio. It is used for administrative purposes:
to upload pictures to the server, manage their order and grouping images by
galleries. Layout design is separate from the programming part. That allows
the creation of new custom albums with unique looks within a reasonable
time frame at moderate expense.
The PPA Builder (Pilot Photo Album Builder) engine is still being improved.
Version 2.1 is currently used for this site.
